Year 1 Phonics Workshop - Thursday 11th April 9.00am

YEAR ONE PHONIC SCREENING IS TAKING PLACE IN THE SUMMER TERM!

ALL YEAR ONE children across the county, in every school, will be screened to assess their phonic decoding ability in the summer term.

Statistically speaking, those children who achieve the phonic screening in Year One are far more likely to be competent readers and therefore are also more likely to achieve well academically in school.

Come along for a Parent Information meeting on Thursday 11th April at 9.00am and learn some new strategies that you can try at home to help your child achieve the expected standard and to therefore also succeed in future years.

You will then have time in your child’s classroom observing a phonic session, which will give you some more top tips and hints on helping your child to achieve.

BOOK YOUR PLACE NOW AND FIND OUT HOW YOU CAN BEST SUPPORT YOUR CHILD AT HOME SO THAT THEY ACHIEVE THE PASS RATE.
