At Exhall Cedars we use Art and Design as a vehicle for self- expression, wellbeing and enabling all to feel a sense of achievement… using the ideology of Pablo Picasso ’Every child an Artist.’

Our children are given every opportunity to develop their skills in Art and Design through a range of media and artistic experiences including visiting Artists workshops.

We teach our children across both Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 how to:
•    Produce creative work, exploring their ideas and recording their experiences.
•    Become proficient in drawing, painting, sculpture, and other art, craft and design techniques, including working with textiles.
•    Evaluate and analyse creative works using the language of art and design
•    Know about great artists, craft makers and designers and be able to talk about Skills are developed through our half termly topics.
