Bun Day 2025
As part of the Nicholas Chamberlaine celebrations this year our older children attended a special service at the Almhouses in Bedworth.
Nicholas Chamberlaine was a local landowner and rector at Bedworth for over fifty years during the late seventeenth century. Amongst other charitable concerns, he founded almshouses and schools whose legacy lives on in the town today. Founders Day is still celebrated annually, though it has evolved over the years and is now often referred to as Bun Day because the local schoolchildren are each given a tasty sticky bun at the special service of hymns and prayers.
Our younger children had a special assembly from Reverend Gail, and everyone was given a bun to take home!
